System setup checklist

This guide is for the person configuring RoboAlarms. It starts with working panel software and covers system setup. Mounting, power supplies, physical wiring and hardware selection are outside this edition.

Before you begin

Have access to the panel, the intended Wi-Fi network, and the installer and master credentials. For Home Assistant, also have administrator access to the intended Home Assistant instance.

The system must be disarmed and silent before programming. Installer mode does not disable fire, CO, 24-hour zones or panic actions.

Follow this order

1. Complete first setup: network, time zone, codes and system name.
2. Review access: verify the installer/master separation.
3. Configure zones: names, behavior and actual sources.
4. Review system options: entry/exit times, arming and lockout.
5. If used, install and pair Home Assistant.
6. If used, share Home Assistant sensors.
7. If used, configure notifications or MQTT.
8. If needed, enable Panel Manager for browser administration.
9. Commission and hand over the configured system.

Record the installation

Keep a separate private installation record: software version, zone schedule, entry routes, timing choices, who holds each role, and the services enabled. Store credentials securely rather than writing them into a public manual.

Do not treat the end of the setup wizard as acceptance of every sensor or external service. The commissioning checklist verifies those separately.

This edition’s limits

The guides describe implemented software controls. Native Zigbee setup, radio hardware installation, remote keypads, schedules, general backup/restore and the future Devices page are not presented as finished installation workflows. See edition coverage.
